***SALE PRICE***This stunning 1993 Holland home shirt was MATCH WORN / ISSUED against England for the World Cup Qualifier on 28.04.1993 at Wembley Stadium. The result a 2-2 draw that would eventually contribute to Englands faliure to reach the 1994 World Cup Finals in the USA.
This stunning Vintage Players shirt features MANY differences to replica shirts including different neck label and the fully embroidered badge (replicas were printed) and Lotto logo and official 3-D effect player numbering on the rear of the shirt. We do not know who wore the No.21 in this match and any help would be greatly appreciated.
The patterns in the fabric of these shirts changed continually over the 1993/94 seasons and this particular style shirt was indeed used against England on 28/04/1993 for the last time.
The shirt pattern changed from 9/06/1993 against Norway. John de Wolf was issued # 21 for the 1994 World Cup however the shirt
pattern had changed once again.

This Long Sleeved Number 20 Wales Player Match Shirt is a spare shirt from the World Cup Qualifying Match against Northern Ireland at Windsor Park, Belfast. Wales won the match 3-2.
Unlike other countries Wales did not allocate all 22 players in the squad a number, instead they named the starting 11 and 7 subs and then gave them shirts 1-18 with the starters being 1-11. The number 20 is therefore a spare shirt not used by the 4 players who are not selected from the original squad.
It remains a great shirt though that features MANY differences to replica shirts including the GARA label , official numbering and the World Cup 2006 armpatch. It comes from a great football contact and the provenance is therefore exceptional. |
