Peter Whittingham MATCH WORN England U21 v Germany U21 Qualifying Shirt This shirt was the actual MATCH WORN shirt of England U21 left winger PETER WHITTINGHAM (now of Cardiff City) in U21 European Championship qualifying game with Germany on the 6.10.06. England victoriously saw the Germans off over this two legged play off to qualify at the Germans expense.
England Shirt collectors will identify the clear differences this shirt displays to that of replicas from our pictures. In many respects the England U21 shirts are rarer and more collectible than those of their senior counterparts as they have only TWO shirts per game made for them whereas David Beckham and John Terry are reported to have as many as 8 shirts made for every game which detracts from their collectibility.
This shirt was actually WORN and comes with superb provenance. |

Kevin Reeves MATCH WORN & SIGNED England Vintage 1980 Admiral Home Shirt, Shorts & Socks MAN CITY A fearless and cunning goalscorer, Kevin Reeves was still a big fish in a small pond at perennial strugglers Norwich City when Ron Greenwood noticed his effectiveness in front of goal and gave him a debut for his country at the end of 1979. Surprisingly - some said foolishly - Reeves bow for his country came in the penultimate qualifier for the 1980 European Championships, as England took on Bulgaria at Wembley in a situation where they were within an inch of their first major finals in a decade. Reeves did little wrong but fellow debutant Glenn Hoddle took the plaudits with a stunning goal which sealed a 2-0 win, thereby negating any impact or significance achieved by Reeves. Despite a successful move to Manchester City early in 1980, Greenwood decided to pursue negligible interest in Reeves again as England prepared for the finals, giving him one more run-out in a 1-1 draw against Northern Ireland in the Home International championship. Reeves played excellently for Manchester City over the following two seasons but Greenwood was not to be tempted by him again.
This stunning vintage 1980-1983 Admiral England shirt was worn by Reeves as an unused substitute against WALES on the 17-May-1980 at Wales Racecourse Ground, Wrexham and is beautifully Hand Signed by him. The shirt of course has MANY differences to replicas including the correct label details and the fully embroidered England and Admiral badges....it also comes complete with shorts and socks making this a very collectible & desirable match worn England kit with solid provenance. |
